More than 70 participants including representatives from museums, volunteers with and without migrant backgrounds engaged in museum activities, and people interested in the topic of decolonization shared their experience, insights and opinions on how volunteering in museums is organised and what training is available to museum curators and volunteer managers as well as reflecting on the extent to which it involves aspects related to the inclusion of diverse groups in volunteering, in particular people from migrant/ diaspora backgrounds. The question of how the topic of decolonization is tackled by museums and the role of volunteers in these processes was also addressed.
